The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) launched the Nigeria Payment System Vision 2028 (PSV 2028), a 132-page strategic blueprint designed to transform how Nigerians transact, save, invest, and participate in the digital economy. Building on the Payment System Vision 2025, this new vision sets the most ambitious targets yet: expanding formal financial inclusion to 95 percent of the adult population, and positioning Nigeria as a leading hub for cross-border payments on the African continent.
